La Sapienza del Villaggio
La Sapienza del Villaggio is a project promoted and implemented by the Unione dei Comuni del Montiferru e Alto Campidano with the participation of the Unione dei Comuni della Planargia as a project partner.
The objective is to contribute to the strengthening of the liveability of the territory through the implementation of a strategy aimed to the creation of a sustainable and integrated territorial system capable of combining the require- ments of economic growth with those of human and social development, quali- ty of life and the protection of environmental resources.
The intervention is divided into seven macro-actions involving all the territories: from small towns to the well known locations, with investments aimed at enhancing the natural, historical and landscape heritage and improving the quality of services for residents.
Village wisdom, understood as the widespread knowledge that has constituted and constitutes the soul of communities, is the strong point for giving new impetus to local development and creating the conditions for the interest in residency against depopulation.
Thanks to the project, the spotlight is turned on the territory, illuminating extra- ordinary places such as small towns that, thanks to the attention paid to the needs of the elderly population and families with children, become privileged places to live.
The wisdom of the village is thus the lymph that feeds the desire to stay in those who already live in these territories and becomes the motivation to attract those who are looking for authentic places where live or spend a holiday.
The six proposed itineraries are related to the enhancement actions on which the development project has focused. They pass through places and experien- ces that represent the tangible and intangible heritage on which the project's investments have been directed, to improve the usability of the area and its main historical and natural attractions. They are the beginning of a journey of discovery and rediscovery of an area of Sardinia that still has so much to offer.
